installing a leak proof skylight

Installing a VTECH Skylight is easy as 1-2-3 because the frame is a molded polyurethane component that encapsulates the light and is shaped so it can be used to connect the Skylight to the curb or leg. Once the curb, ice and water shield are in place you simply apply a polyurethane mastic to set your Skylight in place. Set your head wood screws into marked anchor points and this completes your Skylight installation. Then you need only to complete your shingle installation for a finished roof. And, to even make it easier, the installation kit is included.

Why RIM Technology, Single-Piece Skylights are Second to None

•
Will not rust

•
Will not bend or dent (Hail)

•
Flexible (If dropped, edges will not bend or scratch)

•
No mitered corners that require welding that can break and leak

•
No screws required to hold the metal frame pieces together. Screws can rust, can fail during major storm events, and they do not generate enough compression to seal the gasket around the light.

•
Has sealing ridges molded into the frame for setting of the skylight with the curb, and to better hold the sealant.
